A Little Bit About Me
First and foremost, I am the wife of a Marine pilot (retired) and mother of two daughters, one son-in-law, with another son-in-law joining us soon!
We currently have one older, beautiful cat named Buttercup (aka Boo Bear, Boo Kitty, BK...). A few years ago, I rescued a tiny, runt-of-litter, abandoned kitty. He since has turned into a "Chunk-O'-Cat" named Fergus (aka the Ferg, FergEE, Ferguson, the Ferginator...). He's a sweetheart, is incredibly attached to me, and he thinks every meal is his last!
We also have two wonderful Field Gordon Setters (Scottish bird dogs), Angus MacDuff and Bonny Lass. They have written a song about them, but I will spare you!
In addition to making quilts, I love to paint, using mostly acrylics and watercolors.
I create my fabric and merchandise designs and artwork using my iPad with a Procreate drawing app plus Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop with a Wacom drawing monitor.
I LOVE my 13 ft. Scamp travel trailer, named Studio BEE, which is currently decked out in pretty Pioneer Woman's Breezy Blossoms!
Yes, I play my own ukulele (a forever beginner) as my cover music for my YouTube channel.
Lastly, but not at all least, I have my Amateur Extra HAM Radio License! My call sign is AEØYA (alpha echo zero yankee alpha). I am a member of my local radio club, SEMOARC and of the Long Island CW Club. I am thoroughly enjoy learning and practicing Morse Code! At the time of this writing, I can copy at about 15 words per minute. I send with a Vibroplex left-handed bug in my ham shack. Portably, I send with a paddle using my right hand.
